Description: The Faculty of Architecture and Arts of Hasselt University asked 21 students to design a “Multisensory Experience Park”. In the studio CARE they focused on the question: How can architecture contribute to multisensory experiences for all? The program focused on an architectural design of care and recreation more precisely a theme park where everyone can go to and experience unexpected environments. Lying in bed, riding a horse, hopping without sight or pregnant with a buggy…all visitors are welcome and the experience park wants to support the dreams and wishes of people as if they feel like a king or a queen that day. During the week of Universal Design an exhibition was held of a selection of the outcome of this design excercise. The exhibition took place at Sint-Gerardus, Diepenbeek from October 10th until October 26th 2016.
