Title: Thermodynamic efficiency at maximum power
Authors: VAN DEN BROECK, Christian
Issue Date: 2005
Publisher: AMERICAN PHYSICAL SOC
Citation: PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS, 95(19)
Abstract: We show by general arguments from linear irreversible thermodynamics that for a heat engine, operating between reservoirs at temperatures T-0 and T-1, T-0>= T-1, the efficiency at maximum power is bounded from above by 1-root T-1/T-0.
