Abstract: This tool has been developed in order to identify all the potential players in the organic cells industry (WP5.1 of the Organext Project). It gives a general overview of the key actors through a ‘competences value chain analysis’. This methodology was translated into a database concept which is continuously updated with actor’s information. So far more than 145 companies from Belgium, Netherlands and Germany have been listed. Each of them belongs to at least one category described above. The next step will be a deeper analysis of the companies in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine by contacting them in order to build a directory with description of their detailed competences. Then, ones will be able to analyze the Euregio Meuse-Rhine competitiveness in comparison with other regions and its competitive advantages in the organic industry. This database will also be used to gather companies during workshops regarding technology valorization, transfer, market potential, etc. (WP6 of the project) but also to set-up an Organext cluster with concrete objectives: - Create and support industry oriented projects regarding the OPV industry. - Gather companies, universities, public sector players and other players active in the Organic Cells industry. - Create a meeting place (Inter-members knowledge, contacts and experience exchanges) - Local and international promotion of members - Etc.
